Leaving your legacy

Many donors wish to use their money now for causes they care about, to make a difference while they can watch the seeds they plant bear fruit. Of course, whatever your wishes are, please be assured that SWI will take great care that they are followed as instructed. With the assistance of estate and financial experts, SWI can help maximize your gift in a variety of ways that are beneficial to both SWI and your portfolio.

Ways to help:

Cash

Saving Wildlife International graciously accepts any monetary amount. Please make checks payable to Saving Wildlife International.

Negotiable Securities

Your stocks and bonds can be transferred with your endorsed signature and guarantee by your bank or broker. You may also have your broker contact our office for transfer information.

Real Estate

Please contact our office to confer with our real estate experts on how you may gift your real property.

Bequests & Wills

Many donors find that by leaving a bequest to SWI they are able to make a more significant contribution than perhaps during their lifetime. You may make Saving Wildlife International the beneficiary of a specific dollar amount, property, or percentage of your total estate. By naming SWI in your will, you may save on inheritance and estate taxes while at the same time helping to ensure a prosperous future for the animals of Saving Wildlife International. There are many ways to make a bequest to Saving Wildlife International that can be both simple and comfortable for the donor. For more detailed information, please contact SWI at (800) Wild-SWI (945-3794).

Foundation gifts

A fundamental part of the success of SWI is created and strengthen by mutually beneficial relationships with corporations, foundations and other philanthropic organizations. If you are affiliated with a grant-making foundation, corporation, or perhaps a family foundation, we would like to hear from you! SWI, a 501(C) (3) nonprofit organization, has a wide variety of projects and programs in need of funding such as major capital projects, everyday expenditures, and local and global wildlife conservation efforts.

Endowments

Endowment funds help to ensure that generations to follow will benefit from the crucial efforts of Saving Wildlife International. In most cases, the fund's principal remains intact while earnings support specific SWI activities.

Gifts in-kind

Often valuable collections such as works of art, coins, rare books, paintings, or antiques are subject to estate taxes. Donating such items during a donor's lifetime not only reduces a donor's taxable estate, but also reduces the donor's taxable income in the year the gift is made.

*All in-kind gifts are subject to acceptance and review.

Estate gifts

You can provide significant support to SWI and receive various tax advantages for contributions made through your will, trust, IRA, or life insurance. For additional information concerning deferred and planned giving, please contact SWI at (800) Wild-SWI (945-3794).

Memorial gifts & Living tributes

Gifts that are made to Saving Wildlife International in memory of an individual or as a living tribute require no minimum dollar amount. They may honor an individual, family, or even a beloved pet. These contributions help sustain SWI’s mission of changing the plight of the world’s animals through conservation and education.

When you make a memorial donation or a living gift tribute, SWI sends an acknowledgment card to both the family and the contributor. Most importantly, gifts made to the organization in memory or in a living tribute of someone special provide a living legacy of conservation and education for humans and animals alike.
